Turf Guard

Turf Guard is a reinforced HDPE plastic mesh designed to protect grass and turf from compaction, rutting and wear caused by foot traffic, light vehicles and equipment — while allowing the grass to grow up through the mesh openings and bind with the structure over time. Once established, the reinforced turf becomes a load-bearing green surface that looks and feels like natural lawn.

Manufactured from 100% virgin HDPE with UV master-batch blended at the polymer stage, Turf Guard withstands years of outdoor exposure without becoming brittle or discoloured. The mesh geometry distributes point loads across a wider area, preventing the soil compaction and root damage that turns high-traffic grass areas into muddy, bare patches.

Installation is straightforward: roll the mesh over prepared and seeded ground (or existing turf), peg it at the edges and at intervals across the surface, then backfill with a thin layer of soil or sand so the mesh sits just below the finished grade. As grass grows through and its roots intertwine with the mesh, the system gains structural strength — typically within one full growing season.

Primary applications include golf course fairways and cart paths, sports field perimeters and training zones, event lawns and festival grounds, parking overflow grass areas, garden pathways and walkways, slope reinforcement on embankments, and any landscape area that must remain green under regular pedestrian or light vehicular use.

Available in green, black and silver across five standard widths from 1.0 m to 2.5 m in 25 m rolls. Green blends seamlessly into lawn settings; black provides a discreet underlayer; silver suits decorative landscape projects. Custom sizes are available on bulk orders for large sports and landscaping contracts.
